Dr. Amanda McIntyre PhD RN is an Assistant Professor in the Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing at Western University. She recently completed her CIHR Vanier-funded doctoral dissertation. Her research program aims to enhance nursing health systems and health service delivery across the continuum of care. Dr. McIntyre studies elements of equity, organization, accessibility, quality, and effectiveness of health care services delivered to patients within and across several care settings. She has specific expertise in emergency and rehabilitative care. Since 2011, Amanda has authored 82 peer-reviewed articles and over 85published abstracts (h-index = 27). Dr. McIntyre continues to work clinically as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at London Health Sciences Centre in London, Ontario.
